Our Diversity, Inclusion and Lived Experience Statement

At Vertaview Group, diversity and inclusion are at the heart of everything we do. We believe that every person deserves to be valued, respected, and empowered—not just in the services we provide, but within our workforce and the broader community.

We acknowledge the individual and collective contribution of those with a lived and living experience of disability, ageing, mental ill-health and suicide. We also acknowledge those who love, have loved, support and care for them. Each person’s journey is unique and a valued contribution to our commitment to systems reform and suicide prevention.

All Group entities strive to create supportive, enabling and culturally appropriate cultures that recognise the diversity of each person’s contribution, and provide opportunities for leadership, career development, flexible work, and equal and active participation in the community.

Our entities are committed to diverse ways of thinking and working, and to continual improvement of services and support from access to a broader range of ideas and insights drawn from a diverse range of backgrounds and perspectives.

The Board of Directors and Executive Leadership Team contribute their own personal and family lived experience, including experience of disability, ageing, mental ill-health, LGBTIQA+ and suicide, to assist all Group entities achieve service excellence.

Our Reflect

RAP

Thank you to our Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) working group members who guided the development of our first Reflect RAP, endorsed by Reconciliation Australia in April 2024.

The first Group Reflect RAP helps establish foundations for relationships, culturally appropriate resources, and training to enhance cultural competence. It fosters growth and reconciliation, with appreciation for guidance from First Nations peoples and the RAP Working Group.

Our focus is now to use our expertise in inclusion to put strategies in place to action the plan.
